Arya Kanya Mahavidyalaya Gurukul (AKMG), a girls college affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra was established in 2008. The President of AKMG, aims to make quality education accessible to girl students from the economically and educationally disadvantaged community of rural areas. Our vision is to “Educate, Enlighten and Empower” the learners in an attempt to make them aware human beings, responsible citizens and future leaders. At AKMG, we believe in holistic education that goes beyond achieving academic excellence, and vocational training. Our philosophy is to realize the overall intellectual, creative, and socio-political growth and development of both the students and the college community in its entirety.
The college invites all girl students irrespective of gender, caste, religion and physical challenge to make us a rich and varied community. The college offers a wide range of courses (BA, B.Com, BCA, BBA, BSC, M.A(Eng), M.A(Sanskrit) and M.Com), extra-curricular activities and technologically advanced facilities accessible to the faculty, the students and the support staff. New courses are expected to start from 2023-24 as per NEP,2020. Here, each individual is encouraged to step beyond the confines of academic and administrative disciplines to explore and intervene in the larger interests of the AKMG community that thrives on participation and the desire to venture into newer vistas.
